I am not sure why you think that theres a ton of photoshopping here...There is 2 layers for this image...all I did was edit the skin and make it infrared b & w. Sorry if you don't like it...

The photo is very nice, the thing is it seems like you edited/smuged the skin too much. It looks very unatural, and the edges are almost unvisible, I mean, there should be a quite visible border between her nose and her right cheeks, as well her jaw line and her neck.
The face lost the shadows that shape it.

Ok...I wasn't sure why you said that mostly because I wasn't really going for natural. I was going for dark and intense...but on the other hand, I am a Photoshop newbie, I'm used to coreldraw and I have been trying to get the hang of Photoshop...if you have any advice for me, it would be very appreciated. You can note me if you'd like.

it is a background that i bought at hobby lobby. I also got one that is a weathered wood background.
